Aiguille du Midi
Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m) is one of the most spectacular and easily accessible alpine viewpoints in the French Alps, towering above Chamonix. You can reach the summit in just 20 minutes via the Aiguille du Midi cable car, one of the highest in the world, ascending non-stop from 1,035 m to nearly 4,000 m. At the top, you’re rewarded with breathtaking views of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, Jungfrau, and surrounding peaks across Italy, France, and Switzerland. The highlight is the “Step into the Void” — a glass box suspended above a 1,000-meter drop, for thrill-seekers. Aiguille is also a launch point for climbers heading toward Mont Blanc or skiing the legendary Vallée Blanche route. An unforgettable experience, even for non-climbers.
